Cody Dolan

Topic: Advil + Acetaminophen

My position with GSK is as a Consumer Health Rep / Retail Pharmacy Rep for the province of Alberta – my main responsibility is discussing our Pain Portfolio with Health Care Professionals, specifically Pharmacists.

The Pain Portfolio includes Advil, Voltaren, and Children’s Advil – primary conversation topics include clinical efficacy and safety data for our product line, in addition to supporting HCP recommendations with sample distribution so that patients within the community are introduced and supported by our products.

I’ve been with GSK since March 2022 and have a background in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Mount Royal University in Calgary, AB.

Fayaz Rajabali

Topic: Shoppers Drug Mart health initiatives & ACP president experience

Fayaz Rajabali is a current associate owner of 2 Shoppers Drug Mart stores. Fayaz has held the title of President of the Alberta College of Pharmacy and was a pivotal part of fundamental changes to the practice of pharmacy. Fayaz has been a council member on the ACP for the previous 5 years and has worked alongside the board to instruct policy change.

Currently Fayaz has been working to further public health initiatives alongside Shoppers Drug Mart, these include: a clinic for rabies vaccine, implementation of Gardasil vaccines, and numerous other projects.

They were a part of the Executive team within the Bredin Institute. Fayaz is currently based in Canada. They used to work at Walmart and graduated with a BSc in Pharmacy

Dr. Ross Tsuyuki

Topic: The biggest barriers to advancing pharmacy practices: Pharmacists?!

Dr. Ross Tsuyuki was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. His training
includes:

  • BSc (Pharm) from the University of British Columbia
  • Residency at St. Paul’s Hospital, Vancouver
  • Postgraduate Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the State University of New York at Buffalo
  • Postdoctoral fellowship in cardiovascular clinical trials in the Division of Cardiology at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario (Supervisor: Dr. Salim Yusuf)
  • MSc in Health Research Methods from McMaster University

Dr. Tsuyuki is currently Professor and Chair, Department of Pharmacology in the
Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta. He is also a
Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) and Director of the EPICORE Centre in the
Department of Medicine.

Dr. Tsuyuki has received several awards for teaching and mentorship, as well as
appointment as a Fellow of the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists
(FCSHP), the American College of Cardiology (FACC), the Canadian Academy
of Health Sciences (FCAHS), and the International Society of Hypertension
(ISHF). In 2005, he was recognized as the Canadian Pharmacist of the Year by
the Canadian Pharmacists Association.

Dr. Tsuyuki is currently the President of Hypertension Canada.
His research interests include interventional health services research and in the
provision of support for other researchers and training the next generation of
health researchers, which is provided through his research group, EPICORE
Centre (www.epicore.ualberta.ca).
