PPAC’s (PharmD Program Advisory Council) (2 students)

  • Provide advice and guidance to the Curriculum Committee on matters relating to curriculum content, clinical education, and policy and procedures in the PharmD Program with a particular focus on equity, diversity and inclusion and essential skills for practice.
  • Expectations are to meet twice per year and to bring their student perspective. (Any questions can go to Dr. Hall about this position)

Safety, Infrastructure, and Facilities Committee (1 student):

  • Facilitate the compliance of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (FoPPS) laboratories (particularly in the Pharmaceutical Sciences) with Human Resources, Health, Safety and Environment rules and regulations, and disseminate relevant safety-related information to the Faculty.
  • The committee will also make recommendations to the Dean for the fair and practical use of space allocations as required for the different activities within the FoPPS. ○ Expectations are to meet 2-3 times during the year to support committee functioning and bring a student perspective where relevant.

Research Day Committee (1 student) –

  • The overall purpose is to plan for research day and implement it annually.
  • The committee will decide on dates, format, speakers, award administration, budgets, and advertising. The committee meets when needed to plan the event.
  • Expectations are to meet about 2 times per year to support committee functioning and bring a student perspective.

Awards Committee (1 student) –

  • The committee supports the administration of undergraduate, graduate, Faculty, and Staff awards.
  • Committee members contribute to discussions about how to operationalize some awards and adjudicate award applicants for some awards.
  • Expectations are to meet about 2-3 times per year to support committee functioning and bring a student perspective.

Admissions Committee (1 student) –

  • This committee adjudicates admissions applicants
  • Expectation is to attend one full day in June/July to contribute to the adjudication process.
