Community Education Director: Hadeel Mohamed

Hello Everyone!

My name is Hadeel and I am incredibly excited to be your next Community Education Director! I was born and raised in Edmonton and completed 3 years of a BSc in Honors Physiology at the U of A prior to my entry into the PharmD program. In my spare time, I absolutely love going on nature walks and spending time outdoors with family and friends. I am also really passionate about coffee and love trying new coffee shops around the city! Currently, I am practicing perfecting a tulip in my latte art, which is a lot harder than it looks and often ends up looking like a whale 🙂 🐋.

APSA’s Community Education program is a fun and engaging way for students to educate the community on various health topics. This program is unique in that it is often participants’ first encounter with a pharmacy professional, so it is a wonderful way to advocate for our profession and educate the public on what we are capable of! Our main volunteer opportunities are Classroom Presentations, however there are multiple opportunities for engagement outside of this, including WISEST conferences and PAM initiatives, so stay tuned!

If you ever have any questions or just want to chat, feel free to message me on facebook or via email. I look forward to meeting you soon!
