Hi everyone!

My name is Prerna Sharma, and I’m this year’s APSA president. APSA fosters an environment where students can flourish academically, personally, and socially. I’m proud to say that our APSA team has worked diligently to organize exceptional events and opportunities for all of you this upcoming school year! The PharmD program is challenging, but we’re here to support you in every way we can. This is your platform to explore passions, whether they’re within pharmacy or beyond. There are numerous ways to forge new connections and have fresh experiences — attend events such as RxFactor, Blue and Gold and the Pharm/Dent hockey game, join committees, or become part of our team. There’s something here for everyone!

A bit about me: I was born in India and moved to Edmonton when I was 3. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree at MacEwan University before enrolling in the PharmD program at UofA. Last year, I joined the APSA team as VP External, a role in which I’ve significantly honed my leadership skills. I’m eager to learn even more about myself as I take on the role of president this year! Outside of school and APSA, I’ve developed a passion for health and fitness. I enjoy cooking new recipes and trying new activities, all while maintaining a consistent gym routine. I have the utmost love for my friends and family and spend most of my free time with them!
