About Value Drug Mart’s Mr. Pharmacy:

Value Drug Mart’s Mr. Pharmacy is a competition between 8 male students in the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Alberta. They compete in a mock beauty pageant involving multiple categories such as a pharmacy skills relay and a talent competition. The winner of the competition takes home the sash of Value Drug Mart’s Mr. Pharmacy and a year’s worth of bragging rights.

Value Drug Mart’s Mr. Pharmacy marks the end of APSA’s month-long Movember fundraising (click here for more information on our team), and all proceeds from the event are donated to Movember Canada. This also includes all money raised from the silent auction during the event. All funds donated to Movember Canada will be used to support men and families affected by prostate cancer in the form of research and direct support for those affected. More information can be found at http://ca.movember.com/.

Please note: this dress code for this event is semi-formal or professional dress.

*Note: All proceeds of Value Drug Mart’s Mr. Pharmacy ticket sales are used to support the event and Movember Canada. The additional surcharges with online ticket sales reflects the minimum costs to ensure that the $20.00 of your ticket sale goes to the proper people, and not into surcharges for the online provider.

There are no physical tickets.  All ticket sales will be added to the guestlist under the name of the person who purchased them (e.g. the PayPal account holder).  If you buy four tickets, we will record your name and note that you are bringing three guests.

is it possible to buy tickets and come late? Or will doors be closed after a certain time?

Hi Azra! The event starts at 7 PM, but ticketholders who come later will be admitted at intermission. Of course, we encourage everyone to arrive early and catch the entire show!

So I bought my ticket online with paypal, but then it never asked for my name, so for the guestlist, does it just use the name on the paypal account? Also, there is a possibility that I may buy more tickets online for my friends, will those tickets then be automatically be under my name as well? since the tickets are bought on different days….

    Thank you!

Thanks for supporting Mr Pharmacy! The guestlist will use the PayPal account holder’s name for all the tickets even if the tickets are bought on different days.

Hi I’m on rotation currently and just used the paypal system to purchase a ticket. Is there a ticket I have to come pick up or do I just come to the Monday event and my name will be on the guest list? Thanks.

I just bought 3 tickets online with Paypal. Since there weren’t any printable tickets, I’m guessing they will be placed on a guestlist (based on the above post)? Also, should my friends and I show up at the same time since they are all under my name?

Hi Alex, there are no physical tickets. You will be added to the guestlist, so you just need to check in at the event on Monday. Thanks for supporting Mr Pharmacy!

Hi I was wondering it says the last day for offline tickets is the 23rd of November does that deadline also apply for the tickets bought online? That tickets bought offline and online are available until the 23rd?

Hi Carmen, thanks for supporting Mr Pharmacy! Yes, there is a guestlist instead of physical tickets. As the tickets are under your name, each person should give your name when checking in at the event, but you do not all have to arrive at the same time.

Hi Emilie, today is the last day for offline tickets, but we are actually extending the online ticket sales to Sunday, Nov 25! We are also selling tickets at the door of the event (cash or cheque only) on Monday.

Feel free to leave us a comment! We'd love to hear from you!
